Sundar and his family have taken a part of land on lease from their neighbours closer to Thandigudi in the reserve forest area where coffee has been growing wild for over half a century to be able to make a livelihood by harvesting the coffee growing on this land. By choosing to adopt to Vithai's practices they have been able to scale their quality of coffee and fetch a 60% premium based on the increase in quality.

Our hands-on selective-harvesting training — picking only fully ripe cherry — lifts cup quality directly, and because we pay a quality premium on clean fruit, it lifts farmer revenue in the same motion.
